Before tickers start arriving, tell TickerGainer what kind of trader you are. Three settings control everything.

Daily digest (4 PM), Intraday (every 4h), or Qualified Only (instant when a high-conviction pick fires).

How scoring works 🧠

Every ticker is scored 0–100 by five specialised AI models. Here's how they contribute — using NVDA as an example.

1. FinLite — financial lexicon sentiment+0.72

"Massive earnings beat", "data-centre demand surge" → strongly bullish

2. News Spike ML — spike probability0.78

High buzz acceleration + pre-market gap → 78% spike probability

3. SEC 8-K ML — filing impact+0.65

Recent 8-K indicates material positive event

4. Ripple / Sympathy Play — sector chain+0.45

AMD (anchor) up 18% → NVDA likely sympathy move

5. LLaMA gate — deep reasoningPASS

Step 5 — Holding period

How long are tickers held? ⏱️

TickerGainer identifies short-to-medium term momentum plays — not long-term buy-and-hold investments.

Qualified tickers enter a 7-day monitoring window. The bot exits at take-profit, stop-loss, or end of window.

AI accuracy, hallucinations & limits 🤖

The "AI" on your tickers is a local LLM sentiment gate. Here's exactly what it does — and what it doesn't.

~70–75% directional accuracy on sentiment (bullish/bearish/neutral). Does not predict exact price targets.

Hallucinations

Minimal risk — the model reads actual news text we feed it. It's not generating free-form stock predictions.

Feasibility

1 of 7+ independent filters. AI "Pass" alone ≠ buy signal — the stock must clear score, buzz, RVOL, and catalyst gates too.

Limitations

Small 1.5B-param model — nuanced macro risk and options flow may be missed. Treat it as a secondary sanity check.

"AI Unavailable" = the local model was offline at scan time. Intentional fail-open — the ticker still shows after passing all other gates. No alerts are suppressed due to an AI outage.
